Samsung Lions Kim Seong-yoon
Outfielder Kim Seong-yoon (25) of the professional baseball Samsung Lions was expunged from the first team entry due to right knee ligament damage.
A Samsung official said on the 15th, “Kim Seong-yoon was injured while playing defense during the game the previous day, and a hospital examination revealed ligament damage. He is scheduled to undergo another examination in Daegu on the 16th.”
This official added, “The first examination showed that recovery may take about 2 to 3 months,” and added, “The exact condition will be known after the second examination.”
Kim Seong-yoon was injured while throwing his body to catch Choi Jeong’s batted ball during the defense in the bottom of the 5th inning of the 2024 KBO League visiting game against SSG held at SSG Landers Field in Incheon on the 14th.
Kim Seong-yoon was later replaced by Lee Seong-gyu and was immediately taken to the hospital.
Kim Seong-yoon performed well last season with a batting average of 0.314 and 20 stolen bases in 101 games, and is recording a batting average of 0.222 and 3 stolen bases in 28 games this season. 고스톱
