‘I’m going around Europe while I’m a free agent’ Japanese MF, Kubo and Co… sign 4-year deal with Sociedad

Japan national soccer team midfielder Daichi Kamada, who has been the subject of numerous transfer rumors to European clubs, is set to join Takefusa Kubo in Spain.

The midfielder is reportedly close to signing a four-year contract with La Liga side Real Sociedad, who are set to qualify for the UEFA Champions League in the 2023/24 season. “Real Sociedad are close to signing midfielder Kamada, who is out of contract with Eintracht Frankfurt,” Spanish publication Marca reported on Sunday. Japanese sports publication Nikkan Sports was also quoted the same day.

Born in 1996, Kamada played for Sagan Dos before moving to Frankfurt in 2017. Aside from a year-long loan to Belgian side Sint-Truiden, he has played for Frankfurt since, and will become a free agent at the end of his contract in 2022/23. Kamada appeared 바카라사이트 in 32 of Frankfurt’s 34 Bundesliga matches in 2022/23, scoring nine goals.

In the UEFA Champions League, he played all six group stage matches and the first and second legs of the round of 16, scoring three goals. At the World Cup in Qatar, he started all four games for Japan.

When Kamada hit the market as a free agent, there was no shortage of big-name suitors. FC Barcelona, Tottenham, Napoli, Benfica, and other big names were in the mix. At one point, he was reportedly close to signing for Italian giants AC Milan, but that didn’t happen and he’s now at Real Sociedad as the teams train for the new season.

According to Marca, Real Sociedad has already made an offer to Kamada and has given him 19 days to respond. The newspaper claims that Kamada and Gubo have the same agent and are close to an agreement. Kamada will sign a four-year contract if he joins Real Sociedad.

Real Sociedad is based in San Sebastian, in the Basque Country in northern Spain. The club is famous for being the first Korean to play in La Liga when Lee Ik-Soo joined in 2003, 20 years ago. Spanish legendary technician David Silva, who played for Man City for 10 years from 2010 to 2020, is currently playing at the age of 37.
