The Wonju DB Promy defeated the Busan KCC Aegis to even the series at one game apiece.
DB won 80-71 against KCC in the second round of the quarterfinal playoffs (PO) for the 2023-2024 season at the Wonju General Gymnasium on Sunday.
With the win, DB tied the best-of-four PO series with KCC at 1-1. The win reignited DB’s hopes after a loss to KCC on Nov. 15 clouded their path to the 안전 토토사이트 championship game.
KCC, on the other hand, was unable to continue the momentum from their first-round victory. KCC set the tone with a sweep in Game 1 against DB. They even won four straight games, including a shutout victory in the best-of-six PO, but lost that game to end their winning streak.
DB was led by Dedrick Lawson with 32 points and six rebounds. Kim Jong-kyu added 14 points and Lee Sun Albano chipped in with 16 points.
KCC was led by Ragan Ah with 27 points and 13 rebounds, but Song Kyo-chang and Choi Jun-yong were unable to prevent the team from losing.
DB took control of the game from the first quarter. Trailing 5-11, they scored back-to-back baskets to turn the tide and took a 19-16 lead with Kim Jong-kyu scoring the final points.
In the second quarter, DB widened the gap. DB scored a whopping 23 points to take a 42-36 lead. The third quarter was DB’s breakthrough. DB only scored 18 points, while KCC scored a whopping 23 points. In the end, KCC pulled within one point at 60-59.
The game was decided in the fourth quarter. DB stayed focused and quickly extended the lead to nine points. Lawson’s three-pointer then sealed the game. After reaching 80 points in the fourth quarter, DB completed the nine-point win to take the series 1-1.
