South Korean sports climber Lee Do-hyun, 20, has won a bronze medal in the bouldering event at the World Championships.
Lee won a bronze medal in the bouldering final at the 2023 International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) Sport Climbing World Championships in Bern, Switzerland, on Friday (June 5).
Lee completed two of the four tasks in five attempts, including three zones in 15 attempts for a “2T 3z 5 15” performance.
Lee is a world-class performer in this event. He won gold at this year’s World Cup in Prague, Czech Republic, where he completed every route, and silver at the World Cup in Brixen.
Competing alongside Lee was Chun Jong-won in 20th place, Song Yoon-chan in 63rd, Han Min-sung in 71st, and Kim Do-hyun in 99th.
Korea will look to add to their medal tally in the men’s and women’s lead six days and speed events on day 10.
Meanwhile, the IFSC Sport Climbing World Championships are the sport’s most prestigious and largest competition, 고스톱 held every two years. The next World Championships will be held in 2025 in Seoul, South Korea.
