Suwon FC wins 2-0 at Suwon Samsung, first win since June 3
Daegu draws 0-0 at home against Ulsan Oh Seung-hoon saves a goal
After going eight games without a win in two months, professional soccer’s K League 1 Suwon FC broke out of its slump with a victory in the Suwon Derby.
Suwon FC won 2-0 against Suwon Samsung in the 25th round of the Hana OneQ K League 2023 at Suwon World Cup Stadium on May 5.
Suwon FC, which had gone eight games without a win (two draws and six losses) and was mired in a three-game losing streak, tasted victory for the first time in two months against Suwon Samsung on June 3. Suwon FC remained in 10th place in the league with 23 points from six wins, five draws and 14 losses. Suwon FC has won all three Suwon derbies against Suwon Samsung this year.
Eleventh-ranked Suwon Samseong, who were unbeaten in five matches, including two straight wins, suffered defeat. Suwon remained in 11th place with 18 points from four wins, six draws and 15 losses.

Daegu hasn’t won in four games. Still, Daegu moved up one spot from seventh to sixth in the league with eight wins, 10 draws, and seven losses for 25 points.
First-place Ulsan continued to lead the league with 18 W, 3 D, 4 L, and 57 points.
The visitors took the initiative in the first half and fired off several shots, but were unable to capitalize. The home team missed a crucial chance in the 25th minute of the second half.
