Doosan to play a practice game against SoftBank

The Doosan Bears will play an exhibition game against the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) SoftBank Hawks during spring training next year.

Doosan announced on March 19 that it will play a scrimmage against SoftBank’s first team at the PayPay Dome in Fukuoka, Japan, on March 3 next year.

This will be the first time Doosan will play at SoftBank’s home stadium, PayPayDome. The game will be played in an environment similar to that of an official game, including paid spectator admission.

According to Doosan, the game was organized at the invitation of SoftBank. Doosan and SoftBank have had a long-standing relationship, 바카라사이트 with the two organizations holding scrimmages in each of their spring training camps.

SoftBank is the first Pacific League team to win four consecutive Japan Series titles from 2017 to 2020. The team is overhauling its roster ahead of the 2024 season with the appointment of manager Hiroki Kokubo.

Kokubo has ties to Lee Seung-yeop, the current manager of Doosan. Lee was a teammate of Kokubo’s at the Yomiuri Giants in 2006.

Meanwhile, Doosan will hold two spring training camps before the 2024 season, the first in Sydney, Australia, and the second in Miyazaki, Japan. More details, including the spring training roster, will be announced at a later date.
