After completing the share subscription in September, Chairman Lam and the parties involved will own 65.85% of Sinogreen Energy’s capital.
On Monday, news broke that Lamb had become the chairman of Sino Green Energy. The company has previously been involved in trading silicone rubber keypads.
Lam is also chairman of Zimei Group, one of Macau’s largest junket operators. The group’s website says it operates 10 VIP clubs in major Macau casinos in Kotai, Taifa and the Macau Peninsula.
Sinogreen Energy announced in a filing on Thursday that it plans to change its name to Zimei International Entertainment. Approval for the change will be requested at the company’s special general meeting on a date that has not yet been announced.
“The Board of Directors believes that the proposed name change will provide the Company with a new corporate image and identity, and we believe that in light of the Group’s business development and diversification, the new mission can more accurately reflect the Group’s corporate characteristics,” the document states.
“The extensive experience and business network gained in the gaming industry will help the group gradually diversify its business into the [Macao] gaming market,” the company said in a July filing, when it first announced Lam’s participation in Sino Green Energy.
The Thursday filing also said the board size of the company’s shares to be traded on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange will change from 4,000 to 500 shares from 9 a.m. on November 27.
