Former national team striker Lee Jae-young (27), who was expelled from the domestic women’s volleyball team amid controversy over school violence, announced that she will start a second life. It appears that she has decided to retire.

Lee Jae-young stated on his fan cafe on the 14th, “I’ve been thinking about this for a long time, but I think it’s time to talk about it now,” and “I didn’t want to play volleyball again while admitting things I didn’t do.”

He continued, “It was a difficult process to put it down like this, but now I feel relieved,” and added, “Please remember the good things about volleyball player Lee Jae-young and support his second life.”

Lee Jae-young and his twin sister Lee Da-young were suspended from playing and disqualified indefinitely by their team, Heungkuk Life Insurance, and the Korea Volleyball Association in February 2021 after a victim revealed that they had been subjected to violence by them while they were in middle school.

Afterwards, the two players found a new nest in the Greek women’s professional volleyball team PAOK, and Lee Jae-young suspended his career in early 2022 due to a left knee injury.

Da-young Lee continued living abroad, but Jae-young Lee was unable to return.

Lee Jae-young contacted Pepper Savings Bank, a women’s professional volleyball team, in 2022, but it did not lead to a formal contract. 파워볼사이트
